The referees for Serie A Week 5 have been announced and the AIA has given Milan-Roma to Piero Giacomelli, as Fabrizio Pasqua oversees Juventus-Verona.
The 42-year-old referee from Trieste, Giacomelli, has been given the big match on Monday night, when the Giallorossi travels to Milan.
It’s Giacomelli’s second appointment in Serie A 2020-21, after having been in charge of Fiorentina-Sampdoria on October 2.
Pasqua has been handed Hellas Verona’s trip to the Allianz Stadium on Sunday and has previously overseen only one defeat in eight games in charge of the Old Lady.
The 37-year-old has overseen four Verona triumphs in nine attempts and has yet to award a penalty in one of the Gialloblu’s games.
Elsewhere, Davide Massa will oversee Genoa-Inter at the Marassi, Massimiliano Irrati has been given Lazio-Bologna and Gianpaolo Calvarese will be in charge when Atalanta host Sampdoria in Bergamo.
The referee from Crotone-Juventus, Francesco Fourneau, has been given the match between Fiorentina and Udinese this weekend.
