Mario Barwuah Balotelli, born 12 August 1990, he is an Italian footballer who played for a few clubs throughout his professional football career. Manchester City (2010-2013)

Mario Balotelli Joined Manchester City from Inter Milan on 12 August 2010 for a transfer fee of £21.8 million. At the club, he reunited with his former head coach at Inter, Roberto Mancini, who said “his style of play will suit the Premier League, and because he is still so young there is a big chance for him to improve. He is a strong and exciting player, and City fans will enjoy watching him”

During his time at Manchester City, the striker made 75 appearances and scored 20 goals. Balotelli has a Premier League title to his name which he won in the 2011/2012 season.

 

Liverpool (2014-2016)

In August 2014, Mario Balotelli joined Liverpool for a £16 million transfer fee to replace the leaving striker Luis Suarez. He made his Liverpool debut in a league game away to Tottenham Hotspur on 31st August. No debut goal for Balotelli but Liverpool managed to win 3-0. However, is debut goal came a few weeks later in the Champions League against Ludogoret Razgrad on 16th September

 Balotelli could not find the back of the goal, he was struggling to find his form and come out the match with a positive performance. The Italian striker was often criticized for his lack of output and displays at his time at Liverpool. He made 28 appearances for the club, only managed to score 4 goals and he had 0 assists. He was often referred to as a ‘Selfish player’ during his time at Liverpool.
