Italy only talks about Balotelli and politics – Raiola

The forward’s agent believes that the media are making up stories about his client and insists the 23-year old is changing his ways

Mario Balotelli’s agent has criticised the Italian media’s focus on his client’s private life after it was rumoured that the AC Milan star is seeing a behavioural tutor.

Balotelli, 23, has courted the attention of the press throughout his professional career to date, both in Italy and during his spell with Manchester City in England.

His representative, Mino Raiola, has now responded to claims that Balotelli is seeing a tutor about his off field behaviour and maintains that the player’s private life should remain private.

‘‘In Italy we only talk about politics and Mario’’ Raiola told La Gazzetta de la Sport.

‘‘To fill the media they have to make up stories like this tutor, and it is ridiculous. With Mario around there are so many stories from his car, to earrings, to the house.’’

Raiola also stressed that the Rossoneri forward is trying his best to improve his image to the media.

‘‘Everybody has a private life and Mario is trying hard to improve, but the media add all of this pressure.’

‘‘I admire him. Mario is always calm, maybe he has accepted all of this, he’s resigned but it is not a normal life. Because everything he does is transformed into a story.’’
