Davids: Juventus should sign Balotelli

The former midfielder believes the 23-year-old has the potential to become one of the world’s best players and thinks Clarence Seedorf should be in charge of Milan next year

Edgar Davids says he would “love” to see AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli join Juventus.

The Italy international is enjoying a productive season at San Siro having scored 14 Serie A goals for the Rossoneri and he has been key in the club’s turnaround under Clarence Seedorf.

The former Bianconeri midfielder says he hopes he leaves Milan for Turin this summer and believes the 23-year-old has the potential to become one of the world’s elite footballers.

“I’d love to see Balotelli at Juventus,” he told Sky Sport Italia when asked which players he would like the Serie A champions to sign this summer.

“I think he can become the best.”

The 41-year-old also praised the way his former Netherlands team-mate Seedorf has done since taking charge of Milan halfway through the season.

“Seedorf is doing well and I am happy for him,” he replied. “I hope he stays at Milan so that he can prove how much he really understands about football.

“He played this sport and has the vision to do well, so this can be a good sign for those clubs who always seek the same coaches every year.”
