The transfer window cut-off brought its fair share of odd transfers on Wednesday and, as expected, they were shown no mercy on social media
There was time for several bizarre deals before the summer transfer window deadline on Wednesday, and the world of social media reacted in hilarious fashion to the likes of David Luiz and Mario Balotelli on the move.
Brazilian defender David Luiz was re-signed by Chelsea for €45 million only two years after he was sold on to Paris Saint-Germain, while Balotelli will spend the final year of his Liverpool contract out on loan at Ligue 1 side Nice.
These moves were followed by Jack Wilshere moving to Bournemouth, and these moves alone were enough to fill pages of golden reaction on Twitter.
Balotelli. Give him 6 months at Nice, then an “ambitious” Championship club, etc etc.
Retire already.

Ben Arfa last season, now Balotelli. Nice are becoming the footballing equivalent of Battersea Dogs Home.

Probably a good thing that Bournemouth no longer play at the Fitness First Stadium. #Wilshere
