The Brazilian forward believes the three strikers can combine to make a fantastic attacking trident for Sinisa Mihajlovic and help the team bounce back from a disappointing season
Luiz Adriano believes AC Milan have a great attacking trio in him, Mario Balotelli and Carlos Bacca.
The three forwards joined the Rossoneri during the summer as the club reinvested in their first team in order to improve on last season’s 10th-placed finish.
Balotelli returned to San Siro on loan after an underwhelming season at Liverpool, but Bacca feels he will be an important part of the team and is confident they can combine to deadly effect for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team.
“Balotelli is very important, Mario is a great player who came to help us,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “The team needs him and he will help us a lot.
“We can be a great trident, because Balotelli has qualities that can help us a lot. There will be no problem to play all three of us together.
“With Bacca, I feel good. Our understanding improves with each training session and we talk a lot. As time goes on we will improve further.”
The Brazil international says he has been surprised by the tactical organisation of teams in Serie A following his move from Shakhtar.
“Until now I had always been used to attacking, without thinking about anything else. But here everything is very organised in every department.
“Even the smaller teams are well organised. Tactics is a major topic in all training sessions.
“There are many other teams who really strong, but one thing is certain: we will give our all to become the best in the league.”
Milan had shown an interest in signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Paris Saint-Germain, and Luiz Adriano admits he would have liked to have played with the Swede.
“He is a great player who has made the history in football. It would have been a great pleasure to play together.”
