Ibrahimovic too important to be sold, claims Raiola

The agent has insisted that Paris Saint-Germain have no intention of letting the striker leave the club due to his role both on and off the pitch

Paris Saint-Germain will not consider selling striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer because he is too integral to the club’s success, according to the player’s agent Mino Raiola.

The Swede made the move to Ligue 1 last summer and has been in glittering form for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season but has been linked with a return to Juventus.

However, Raiola says the striker will remain at the Parc des Princes beyond this season due to his importance to the club both on and off the field.

“Ibra will stay with Paris Saint-Germain. He still has two years on his current contract and the club rely heavily on him,” he told Sky Sport.

“The commercial design of the club is based on his signing and they have no intention of selling him. For now he stays.”

Raiola, who also represents Mario Balotelli, went on to say that he had reservations over the Italian’s move to AC Milan in January but admitted he had been proven wrong by the 22-year-old’s form.

“Balotelli had strongly asked for a return to Italy and I was very sceptical about it, but in the end he was proven right,” he added.
